How to register (and renew) a charity in Georgia
Georgia charitable solicitation registration is handled by the Georgia Secretary of State, Securities and Charities Division. Here is how the filing works, from the state’s own forms and instructions.
- Agency
- Georgia Secretary of State, Securities and Charities Division
- Forms
- Form C100 or the Unified Registration Statement, renewed every two years.
- How you file
- Online or by mail.
- Who signs
- The Secretary of State’s 2012 instructions call for an execution page signed by hand and notarized. We confirm the current renewal requirement before each filing.
- What to attach
- Form 990s for the two prior years and financial statements; Form C200 if the organization does not file a 990.
- State fee
- $35 to register, $20 to renew.
- Audit or review
- An audit above $1 million; a review from $500,000 to $1 million.
- If you file late
- After 30 days, reinstatement costs $35 and requires a full new C100.
Georgia accepts the Unified Registration Statement (Rule 590-9-4-.01).

We can file this for you
We can prepare and file your Georgia registration and renewals for $95 a year, plus the state fee at cost. This state needs a notarized signature, an ink original, or an officer’s own login each cycle. We prepare everything first, then book one short session with the officer who signs.
