How to register (and renew) a charity in Oklahoma
Oklahoma charitable solicitation registration is handled by the Oklahoma Secretary of State, Charitable Organizations. Here is how the filing works, from the state’s own forms and instructions.

- Forms
- An annual registration, due on its anniversary.
- How you file
- Online, by mail, or in person.
- Who signs
- The signature of the person signing, under penalty of perjury. No title requirement. No notary.
- What to attach
- The IRS determination letter (first year) and an officer list. No Form 990.
- State fee
- $65 if contributions exceed $10,000; $15 otherwise.
- Deadline
- The anniversary of your registration.
- Audit or review
- No audit or review requirement.
Oklahoma still requires registration. A 2026 repeal bill, SB 1534, was vetoed on May 12, 2026.
